Car hits Dexter Cinema, restroom closed but shows go on

DEXTER, Mo., (KBSI) — The Dexter Cinema sustained damage Thursday after a vehicle struck the building, but no serious injuries were reported, theater officials said.

The crash damaged one of the theater’s restrooms and knocked out its sign, though three other restrooms remain available. Movies are still scheduled to run as planned.

Showtimes for Thursday include Gabby’s Dollhouse at 7 p.m. and The Senior at 7:15 p.m.

The theater, which is preparing to celebrate its third anniversary under current ownership, thanked the community for its continued support and encouraged patrons to park in designated spaces.
