Carbondale police looking for two suspects after call of shots fired

CARBONDALE, Ill. (KBSI) – Carbondale police are investigating after receiving multiple reports of shots fired Wednesday night.
Officers responded to the area of South Poplar Street and West Freeman Street on April 17 at 10:23 p.m. after multiple reports of shots fired.
Police say the suspects left the area before officers arrived.
Officers learned there were no injuries. However, there was damage to a building as a result of the shots fired.
Officers learned two black males were seen running westbound on West Freeman Street from the area.
One suspect was wearing all dark clothing. The other suspect was wearing a light-colored sweatshirt.
The investigation is active and ongoing.
