Carbondale seeks public input on comprehensive plan on April 2 open house

CARBONDALE, Ill., (KBSI) — The City of Carbondale will host an open house on April 2 to gather public feedback on the draft recommendations for the city’s long-term comprehensive plan.

The event will take place from 6:30-8 p.m. in room 108 at the Carbondale Civic Center, 200 S. Illinois Ave.

Guests can arrive and depart at any time but are encouraged to arrive at the start time for instructions on participating.

Over the past eight months, city planning staff and a volunteer steering committee have worked together to develop the plan, which will guide land use, housing, transportation and economic development.

Community members are invited to review the draft recommendations and provide feedback.

Pizza and refreshments will be provided, and activities will be available for all ages.
