Carbondale woman charged with burglary, criminal damage to property

CARBONDALE, Ill. (KBSI) – A Carbondale woman faces charges after police investigated a business burglary in the 800 block of East Main Street on Aug. 24 and another Sept. 3 in the 1200 block of West Main Street.

Antonia G. Turby, 26, of Carbondale faces two counts of burglary and criminal damage to property.

She was also found to have an active warrant for failure to appear for a criminal damage to property out of Jackson County.

On Sept. 3, officers found Turby in the 400 block of South Poplar Street and arrested her on the warrant.

A search warrant for the property was granted. Officers recovered property taken from the burglaries.

Turby was taken to the Jackson County Jail.
