Carbondale woman faces charges after police say she threatened someone with knife

CARBONDALE, Ill. (KBSI) – A Carbondale woman faces charges after police say she threatened an acquaintance with a knife.
Carbondale police responded to the 100 block of North Giant City Road on June 28 around 7:26 p.m.
Shakota C. Futch, 33, faces charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, unlawful use of a weapon and resisting a peace officer.
No injuries were reported.
Futch was later found by officers in the 1200 block of East Walnut Street where police say she resisted officers’ efforts to place her under arrest.
She was taken to the Jackson County Jail.
