Chairperson of Cape Girardeau County Democrats speaks out on Republican VP nominee
(KBSI) – Republican Presidential nominee Donald Trump released his choice for vice presidential running mate on Monday.
He announced Ohio Sen. JD Vance will be his vice presidential pick.

As chairperson of the Cape Girardeau County Democratic Party, I would like to congratulate Senator J.D. Vance on being named by former President, and presumptive Republican nominee, Donald Trump, as his pick for Vice President. The selection of Senator Vance is a bit ironic as he was a self-declared never Trumper, who once referred to then candidate Trump, in 2016, as being “America’s Hitler.” More recently, Sen. Vance has blamed others for using similar rhetoric and causing the horrifying recent attempt on Mr. Trump’s life – despite the still unknown motives of the shooter. Still, one hopes that the selection of Sen. Vance will bring some stability to the chaotic Trump campaign.
