City releases latest updates on ongoing street project

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — The city of Cape Girardeau has released updates on current and upcoming street projects.

Recent updates include:

— Lexington Avenue: Now open from Sherwood Drive to Perryville Road, with construction soon beginning on the west side of the Perryville Road intersection.

— S. Sprigg Street: Closed for roadwork between Linden Street and Hackberry Street, with water service work ongoing between Locust Street and Linden Street.

— Various Repairs: Most repairs funded by the Transportation Trust Fund are complete, with exceptions including Perryville Road and Janet Drive.

— Asphalt 2025 series: Sherri and Dorothy paving is underway, with six other roadways to be completed by year’s end.
