PULASKI COUNTY, Mo. (KBSI) — An honor walk is planned Monday at Phelps Health Hospital in Rolla for a Pulaski County sheriff’s office lieutenant who suffered a medical emergency last week.
According to the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office, Lt. Marcus “Rob” Robison, the jail administrative lieutenant, suffered a major heart attack at his home Friday, March 13.
Emergency crews responded and began life-saving efforts before transporting Robison by ambulance. Officials said he went into cardiac arrest during the trip to a landing zone where he was expected to be airlifted.
Because of his condition, he could not be flown. Paramedics with the Pulaski County Ambulance District continued CPR and other life-saving measures before taking him to General Leonard Wood Army Community Hospital.
Officials said Robison later regained a pulse and was stabilized before being transferred to Phelps Health Hospital in Rolla, where he remains in the intensive care unit.
An honor walk for Robison is scheduled for noon Monday, March 16, at Phelps Health. Those wishing to participate are asked to arrive by 11:30 a.m. at the second-floor ICU. Participants are encouraged to park in the hospital’s north lot.
Sheriff Stacy Ball asked the community to keep Robison, his family and medical staff in their thoughts and prayers.
