CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) – Contour Airlines which flies from Cape Girardeau, Missouri to Nashville, Tennessee submitted a request with the Department of Transportation to amend the current service flying from Nashville to Chicago.

Contour began flying from Cape Girardeau to Nashville on October 18, 2022 with 12 round trips per week using a 30-passenger Embraer ERJ – 135 aircraft.

“That’s presumptuous because we haven’t made a switch yet right now what what has happened is Contour has submitted a request to amend the service pattern from Nashville to Chicago,” said Katrina Amos, Cape Girardeau Regional Airport manager. “And then has been submitted with the United States Department of Transportation so that’s that’s the first thing. They’ve submitted this request. It has not been approved yet. So DOT has to go through their approval processes and then once they’ve had a chance to review everything they could say yes or they could say no. So we’re waiting to hear further information.”

Before Contour began flights from Cape Girardeau in 2022, SkyWest provided service. Before SkyWest, Cape Air provided air service from Cape Girardeau.
