Crews respond to capsized boat on Mississippi River

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) —Emergency crews have returned after responding to a report of a capsized boat on the Mississippi River.

The Cape Girardeau Fire Department said crews were dispatched to the Red Star Boat Ramp in Cape Girardeau on Thursday afternoon.

A resident spotted the overturned boat from their downtown apartment and contacted authorities.

Crews on the scene confirmed that no one was on board the capsized vessel.
