DUNKLIN COUNTY, Mo., (KBSI) — The Dunklin County Sheriff’s Office plans to conduct DWI saturation patrols beginning this weekend and continuing through April.

Officials said the effort will include additional deputies on patrol across the county, funded through grant support, with the goal of reducing impaired driving.

Authorities are encouraging residents to plan ahead if they intend to drink alcohol by arranging a sober ride, using a rideshare service or designating a driver.

Officials also urge residents to speak up if they see someone who may be impaired and help them find a safe alternative to driving. The department said the patrols are intended to help prevent impaired driving and improve safety on local roads.
