Emergency crews help rescue people from flooding in Bollinger County
GLENALLEN, Mo. (KBSI) – Multiple emergency crews are responding to Glenallen for to help people with flooded homes after a levee breach Monday morning.
Marble Hill Mayor Trey Wiginton says the town is experiencing severe flooding from rainfall Sunday night into Monday morning. That is on top of the rainfall the area received the past week.
He says multiple houses in Glenallen have no access due to high water. He was not aware of any injuries, but several people were stranded in their homes.
“It’s another very high hurdle for them to jump to be able to for that village to survive.”
Wiginton says the priority Monday is to make sure everyone is safe and and accounted for.
“Well, it’s scary cause, we had so much loss with the tornado, it was a small community to start with and now with this um…I don’t know, it’s bleak, at the very best it’s bleak”
Sgt. Clark Parrott with the Missouri State Higway Patrol says their swift water boats were called out around 4:30 a.m. to Arrowhead Campground at the Castor River. He says everyone there have been accounted for. A Troop E marine officer has been cleared from assisting with flooding and emergency management are no longer requesting assistance.
One Glennallen resident says he/she was told four feet of water may be over one road.
The Bollinger County Sheriff’s Office report the following roads impassable due to flooding or damage on Monday morning.

Multiple people died and several were hurt in April 2023 when a tornado touched down in Glenallen.
The National Weather Service also reports water over the roads and up to houses between Chaffee and Oran.
