FBI adds Missouri woman to Ten Most Wanted list, offers $1M reward

KANSAS CITY, Mo., (KBSI) — The FBI has added KaShawn Nicola Roper to its Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list in connection with a fatal shooting in 2020.
Roper, 49, is wanted on charges including second-degree murder, armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon. She is also facing a federal charge of unlawful flight to avoid prosecution.
Authorities said Roper is accused of firing multiple shots at a vehicle during an altercation on Aug. 23, 2020, in Kansas City, Missouri. Two women were struck, and one of them died.
A state warrant was issued for Roper’s arrest in Jackson County on Sept. 10, 2020. A federal warrant followed on July 1, 2021.
The FBI is offering a reward of up to $1 million for information leading to her arrest.
Roper is described as 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighing about 120 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. She has multiple tattoos and pierced ears.
Investigators said Roper has ties to Kansas City, Missouri, and may travel to several states, including Kansas, Nebraska, Texas, Colorado, Georgia and South Dakota.
Officials warn she should be considered armed and dangerous.
