Fire damages longtime meat market in Red Bud

RED BED, Ill., (KBSI) – A fire damaged Miller’s Meat Market, a family-owned business in Red Bud, Illinois, on Friday.

The fire started on the right side of the building, and the Red Bud and Hecker fire departments responded to extinguish the blaze.

No injuries were reported in the fire, which damaged the business that has been a staple in the community since 1958.

The cause of the fire and the extent of the damage are still unknown.

The owners have apologized to customers for the disruption on their Facebook page, stating that their computers and contact information are currently unavailable.
