Firefighters battle structure blaze in Poplar Bluff after severe storms

POPLAR BLUFF, Mo., (KBSI) — Firefighters responded to a structure fire early today after severe storms swept through the area, bringing heavy rain, strong winds and reports of tornadoes.

The blaze, which was reported in the early morning hours, drew a swift response from the Poplar Bluff Fire Department’s “A” Shift, who worked to contain and extinguish the flames.

The cause of the fire was not immediately clear.
