Former SEMO sports information director Ron Hines dies at 82

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. — Former longtime Southeast Missouri State University sports information director Ron Hines has died at the age of 82.

Hines died March 16, according to Southeast Missouri Athletics.

He spent 29 years with the university, helping promote its athletic programs and raise the school’s profile.

Visitation is scheduled from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday, March 22, at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Carbondale, Illinois. A funeral service will follow.
