Frito-Lay recall of potato chips upgraded to most severe level

(KBSI)- A recall of Lay’s Classic potato chips sold in Oregon and Washington has been upgraded to a Class 1 recall, the most severe level, by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
The recall, initiated by Frito-Lay on Dec. 16, affects more than 6,000 13-ounce bags of chips. The FDA warning states that the recalled chips may contain undeclared milk ingredients, posing a risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reactions.
The recalled chips were available for purchase in Oregon and Washington starting in November. Frito-Lay is urging consumers to discard the recalled chips immediately.
