CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) – The Gateway Down Syndrome Association will host its first Southeast Missouri Rock 21 concert Friday, Nov. 13, in downtown Cape Girardeau.

The Southeast Missouri chapter of the Gateway Down Syndrome Association launched the program to give individuals with Down syndrome opportunities to explore music, develop performance skills and build confidence onstage.
Participants have spent time learning how to engage an audience, perform their favorite songs and embrace the excitement of live entertainment.
The concert will take place from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at The Library, 10 S. Spanish St., in Cape Girardeau.
The event is free and open to the public. Food and beverages will be available for purchase.
