Gordonville firefighter attends Fire Fighters Day in Jefferson City

GORDONVILLE, Mo. (KBSI) – On March 26, Gordonville JR Firefighter Riley Mitchell represented the Fire 1&2 program at the CTC and the Gordonville Fire Protection District in Jefferson City for Fire Fighters Day 2024 at the Missouri Capitol.

The event called attention to the women of Missouri’s fire service during this Women’s History Month.

Fenton Fire Protection District Fire Chief Ramona Kaminski, President of Missouri Women in Fire, delivered an inspirational message.

Governor Mike Parson, proclaimed March 26 as Fire Fighters Day in Missouri.

State Fire Marshal Tim Bean recognized the Governor with a special helmet shield to commemorate his support for the fire service throughout his tenure in office.
