PADUCAH, Ky., (KBSI) – A Grand Rivers man has been arrested after police say he forced his way into a Paducah apartment and threatened a couple at gunpoint last week.

According to the Paducah Police Department, officers responded around 8:37 p.m. on Oct. 22 to a home in the 3000 block of Clay Street for a reported home invasion.

Investigators said the victims, a man and woman, had just returned home when a man, later identified as Martin J. Biehle Jr., 54, of Grand Rivers, caught the door and entered behind them. Biehle allegedly pointed a gun at the couple, saying he wanted to talk to them, before placing the weapon against the male victim’s head.

A struggle ensued, during which the male victim struck Biehle in the face and gained control of the firearm. The victim then ordered Biehle to leave, and the suspect fled the scene.

Detectives later identified Biehle as the suspect and determined that he had darkened his exposed skin with makeup in an attempt to conceal his identity. They also discovered that the female victim had received multiple messages from Biehle in violation of an active Kentucky protection order.

Biehle, who is already a defendant in a separate stalking case involving the same victim, was arrested without incident at his home in Grand Rivers.

He was charged with first-degree burglary, first-degree wanton endangerment, first-degree stalking, violation of a Kentucky EPO/DVO, intimidating a participant in the legal process, and violations of conditions of release.

The Paducah Police Department continues to investigate the case.
