Hemman Winery holds annual grape stomping fundraiser in Brazeau

BRAZEAU Mo. (KBSI) – Hemman Winery held its annual grape stomping fundraiser to help fight childhood cancer on October 8.

The fundraiser includes prize raffles and proceeds go to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.

“What St. Jude gets is we sell raffle tickets for some prizes inside,” said Bonnie Hemman, co-owner of Hemman Winery. “We draw from those buckets and then those people win the money.”

The festivity also featured live music and the Cape County Alpacas.

“We love the community that Hemman Winery creates,” said Ellen Kirchdoerfer, owner of Cape County Alpacas. “And just being here to help and support our community is always a plus.”

The grape stomping event was held from 3-4 p.m.
