House fire just after midnight

SCOTT CITY, Mo. (KBSI) -Scott City Fire Department responded to a first alarm structure fire at 1207 Perkins in Scott City.

Scott City Fire Department received the call just after midnight on January 1, 2024.

Upon arrival smoke could be seen from the attic vents.

An electrical fire in the kitchen attic was the cause.

Scott City fire department was able to get it under control quickly.

All residents were out of the home before the fire department arrived.

No one was hurt, and Cape Fire Department was on scene to assist in mutual aid.

North Scott County ambulance district and EMS was also on scene to assist.
