Several turn out for Independence Day 5K

JACKSON, Mo. (KBSI) – Citizens came together for the Southeast Healthpoint Independance day run.

The annual 5K is three miles long.

“Its more than just a barbecue today (Tuesday),” said US veteran Mickey Wilkerson. “The Fourth of July run is a good time to celebrate the freedoms of our country.”

Close to 400 participants came out to celebrate the event.
