Injured bald eagle found shot in Piedmont

PIEDMONT, Mo. (KBSI) – An injured bald eagle that had been shot was found over the weekend in Piedmont.

Watkins Wildlife Rehab in Sedgewickville received the injured bird from the Missouri Conservation Department on Saturday. The bird was shot in the lower back.

Carolyn Watkins of Watkins Wildlife Rehab says X-rays showed the bird has a hole in its back, but no bullets were found lodged in its back. Its left leg is partially paralyzed.
