Jackson Manor resident turns 100 years old
JACKSON Mo. (KBSI) – A Jackson Manor resident is celebrating his 100th birthday on July first!
Joeseph D Gohn or “Joe” was born on July 1st in 1923. Joe has been married to his wife Helen Gohn for 68 years. They have three children, two daughters Karen & Terri & 1 son Mike. They have 3 grandsons, 2 granddaughters & 4 great grandsons!
Joe spent 30 years with Farmers Insurance group realtor. While with Farmers Insurance Joe traveled abroad to places like Europe, Hawaii, Mexico & even Israel.
Prior to being an insurance agent Joe, served as a Merchant Marine during WW2 working on cargo ships & oil tankers getting them ready to travel from the US to the war.
Joe was also a post man for downtown St. Louis with the USPS. Joe even worked on the farm at Neeley’s Landing. Joe is also a big sports fan. He loves the St. Louis Cardinals, Mizzou and is even a 30+ year 50-yard line season ticket holder with the Jackson High School football team.
