Juvenile in custody after bomb threat at Delta C-7 School

CARUTHERSVILLE, Mo., (KBSI) – A juvenile is in custody after authorities responded to a bomb threat at Delta C-7 School Friday morning, according to the Pemiscot County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies said the call came in Aug. 29 reporting a threat to blow up the school. The Sheriff’s Office, along with the Missouri State Highway Patrol and the Caruthersville Police Department, secured the building and determined it was safe.
Investigators quickly identified a juvenile suspect, who was taken into custody by the Kennett Police Department a short time later. The suspect was turned over to juvenile authorities and will be transferred to a holding facility.
Sheriff’s officials said threats against schools are taken very seriously and will continue to be met with strong law enforcement response.
