Juvenile in custody; stolen car chase ends with vehicle crashing into home

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — UPDATE: The juvenile suspect has been apprehended and taken into custody.

A police chase for a suspect in a stolen car ended with the vehicle coming to a stop against a home.

According to Cape Girardeau police, the chase began at Frederick Street and Olive Street and continued until the suspect jumped out of the car near East Cape Rock Drive and Country Club Road.

The unmanned car then rolled into a home in the 300 block of East Cape Rock Drive.

Police are still searching for the driver.

Authorities say they do not believe he poses a danger to the public.
