Kentucky dedicates training facility to fallen Chief Deputy Jody Cash

RICHMOND, Ky., (KBSI) — A new multi-purpose training facility has been dedicated in honor of fallen Chief Deputy Jody Cash, who was killed in the line of duty on May 16, 2022.

Law enforcement officials from across Kentucky, including the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office, gathered for the ceremony, which was attended by the governor, attorney general and other state officials.

Calloway County Sheriff Nicky Knight said the facility will help keep Cash’s legacy alive, describing it as a “center of learning and service.”

The facility’s dedication was seen as a fitting tribute to Cash’s commitment to public service and his fellow officers.
