Kentucky man arrested after buying drugs from undercover drug operation

GRAVES COUNTY, Ky. (KBSI) – A Kentucky man is facing charges after buying drugs from an undercover agent deputies say.

The Graves County Sheriff’s Office says that on November 23, 2024, Graves County Sheriff’s Detectives conducted an undercover drug operation in the Sedalia Community.

The Sheriff’s office says continuous drug buys were made from 54-year-old Paul Hayes Jr.

A search warrant was issued for his residence and evidence of drug trafficking was located during the search.

Hayes was arrested and charged with Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Degree 2nd Offense – Methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of Marijuana.

It was also discovered that Hayes had two active arrest warrants for Failure to Appear in both Kentucky and Illinois on drug related charges.

Hayes was arrested and taken to an out-of-county detention center.
