Kentucky State Police reports 911, non-emergency phone outage

MAYFIELD, Ky. (KBSI) – Kentucky State Police Post 1 is experiencing a phone outage affecting all emergency 911 and non-emergency administrative lines.

Emergency 911 lines have been transferred to McCracken Central Dispatch. They are being answered there. Information is being relayed to the appropriate agencies for response.

Non-emergency administrative lines have been transferred to backup cellular phones. Those are being answered by KSP telecommunicators at Post 1.

Calls for service are being answered. However, KSP requests the public to be patient with telecommunicators as these transfers are in place.

There was not an estimated time of repair for the phone lines.
