Kentucky woman sentenced for wire fraud, identity theft

PADUCAH, Ky., (KBSI) — Nichole M. Lawrence, 35, of Paducah, was sentenced to 2 years and 4 months in federal prison for wire fraud and aggravated identity theft.

Lawrence was also ordered to serve 3 years of supervised release and pay $400,000 in restitution.

According to court documents, Lawrence embezzled approximately $400,000 from her employer in Western Kentucky between December 2019 and February 2023.

The case was investigated by the FBI and the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office.
