Kirksey woman facing drug charges after found near storage unit in Murray

MURRAY, Ky. (KBSI) – A Kirksey woman faces drug charges after police in Murray noticed two suspicious people near a storage unit.

Brenda Sanders, 53, of Kirksey faces charges of possession of controlled substances 1st degree (methamphetamine) and possession of drug paraphernalia.

An officer with the Murray Police Department saw two suspicious people near a storage unit around 12:05 a.m. on November 14.

The officer spoke with Sanders and conducted a short investigation which led to the discovery of illegal narcotics and drug paraphernalia.

Sanders was arrested and taken to the Calloway County Jail.
