Man arrested in Cape Girardeau, allegedly threatening victim with gun

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — A 61-year-old Cape Girardeau man was arrested Monday after allegedly threatening a victim with a long gun.

According to the Cape Girardeau Police Department, James Combs was taken into custody at about 10:20 a.m. in the 200-block of South Hanover.

The victim reported that Combs demanded a cigarette and stated “cigarettes now or else,” causing the victim to fear for his life.

Combs was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, a class C felony, and unlawful use of a weapon, a class E felony. He is being held on a $25,000 cash-only bond.

Combs is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
