Man arrested on domestic violence, drug charges

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ill., (KBSI) — Deputies responded to a domestic violence incident Wednesday at approximately 8 p.m., leading to the arrest of William L. Bailey, 48.
Bailey, of Royalton, was charged with Domestic Battery, a Class A misdemeanor, after an investigation. A search of Bailey’s backpack revealed multiple plastic baggies containing suspected methamphetamine, hypodermic syringes and glass pipes.
As a result, Bailey faces additional charges, including Possession of Hypodermic Syringe (Class A misdemeanor), Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine (Class 2 felony) and Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Deliver (Class 1 felony).
Bailey was taken to the Franklin County Jail for processing. He is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
