Man faces assault charge in Scott City

SCOTT CITY, Mo. (KBSI) – A man faces an assault charge after police say he injured someone in Scott City.

Adam Venable, 35, faces a Class B Felony of Assault 1st Degree charge, according to the Scott City Police Department.

Scott City police officers responded to a report of an assault on James Street on June 6.

During the investigation at the scene, Venable is accused of assaulting a person causing serious physical injury. The victim was transported to the hospital by ambulance for medical treatment.

Venable was arrested by officers and taken to the Scott City Municipal Jail.

His bond has been set at $75,000.
