Man faces child molestation, other charges in Wayne County

WAYNE COUNTY, Mo. (KBSI) – A man faces child molestation, sodomy and endangering the welfare of the child charges.

Tony Ray Waites was arrested by Wayne County Sheriff Dean Finch at St. Louis University Hospital in St Louis on March 31.

Waites was taken to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.

Waites is being held on charges of child molestation – 1st degree, statutory sodomy -2nd degree and endangering the welfare of a child creating substantial risk.

Waites appeared before a judge on March 31 for a bond hearing. There is no bond set.

Waites is being held in a undisclosed location. The investigation is ongoing.
