Man stabbed at private event in Cape Girardeau

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — A stabbing at a private event at the AC Brase Arena on April 20, 2025, left one person injured and police searching for a suspect.

Officers responded to the 400 block of Kiwanis Drive around 10 p.m. and found the victim with multiple puncture wounds. The victim was treated at the scene and then transported to a hospital.

Witnesses told police that a verbal argument between two people escalated into violence when one of them pulled out a pocketknife and stabbed the other.

The suspect fled before officers arrived.

Police are investigating and urge anyone with information to contact the Cape Girardeau Police Department.
