Man with outstanding warrant gives deputies lock while turning himself in
GRAVES COUNTY, Ky. (KBSI) – The Graves County Sheriff shared an interesting gift the the sheriff’s office received from a man with a warrant turning himself in.
A man living in Kansas found out that he had a warrant in Graves County. Sheriff Jon Hayden says the man bought a bus ticket to get back to Graves County to take care of his warrant.
Wednesday morning, when he showed up at the sheriff’s office to turn himself in, he presented sheriff’s deputies with a lock that he had recently acquired in Kansas.
As for the authenticity of this item, Sheriff Jon Hayden says they are not sure, but he says it appears to be the real thing.
Sheriff Hayden says the lock is “a very nice item for a future display, and a kind gesture from this man.”
