Marion, IL police warn of scammer posing as police chief

MARION, Ill. (KBSI) – Marion police warn the public of a scam.

Police say a caller identifies him/herself as the Chief of Police David Fitts and requests money over the telephone.

Chief Fitts and officers from the Marion Police Department will not call and request payment for any services or donations over the phone.
