Marker unveiling to honor Scott City woman missing since 1979

SCOTT CITY, Mo., (KBSI) — A dedication and remembrance marker unveiling for Cheryl Anne Scherer is scheduled for Aug. 16 at 11 a.m. in front of the Rhodes Convenience store.

Scherer, who worked at the store, disappeared 46 years ago under mysterious circumstances. The investigation into her April 17, 1979, disappearance remains ongoing.

Family, friends, and the public are invited to share in the moment of remembrance.
