Mayfield man arrested for casing homes in Graves County

MAYFIELD, Ky., (KBSI) — A Mayfield man with an extensive criminal history has been arrested for allegedly casing homes in Graves County.
Johnny J. Harrison, 44, was taken into custody on Friday evening and charged with first-degree criminal trespassing.
The arrest stems from an incident on Feb. 12, when a homeowner on Hopewell Road reported a suspicious person at their residence. The suspect, later identified as Harrison, was seen on camera driving a blue Honda, exiting the vehicle and knocking on the front door.
Harrison allegedly claimed he was offering home repairs when confronted through a doorbell camera. However, he fled the scene without leaving a business card.
Tractor Supply employees in Mayfield later reported that Harrison attempted to steal three chainsaws from the store, but was thwarted by employees.
Harrison has a history of similar offenses, including multiple convictions for criminal trespassing, theft and receiving stolen property. He is currently on felony probation.
The investigation is ongoing, with additional charges pending related to the attempted theft at Tractor Supply.
