PADUCAH, Ky. (KBSI) – A Mayfield man faces a wanton endangerment charge for a “shots fired” incident in downtown Paducah earlier in December.

Dewayne D. Gammons, 24, of Mayfield, was arrested on a warrant charging him with first-degree wanton endangerment.

A Mayfield man faces a charge for a “shots fired” incident in the 400 block of Broadway in downtown Paducah on Sunday, Dec. 4

Earlier this month Keyja R. Hammonds, 26, was arrested on a warrant charging her with first-degree wanton endangerment and receiving stolen property ($10,000 or more).

Detectives determined that Hammonds was recklessly driving a stolen white Toyota Camry when a passenger fired several shots into the air, according to the Paducah Police Department.

Police say Dewayne Gammons was the passenger in the vehicle with Hammonds on the night of the offense.

Detectives determined that it was Gammons who had fired the gun into the air.

Gammons was booked into McCracken County Regional Jail.
