PADUCAH, Ky. (KBSI) — McCracken County officials have approved a $150,000 grant to support Lifeline Recovery Center’s new women’s campus, now under construction near Barkley Regional Airport.
The county funds will help cover infrastructure needs, including site development, road access, and sewer connections. The campus is expected to open in 2026.
Lifeline Recovery Center Executive Director Ashley Miller expressed gratitude to Judge-Executive Craig Clymer, Commissioners Eddie Jones, Bill Bartleman, and Richard Abraham, and Deputy Judge-Executive Steve Ervin for what she called the county’s first financial investment in the residential substance abuse treatment program.
“Their support comes at a critical time as Lifeline works to complete construction of the new campus,” Miller said.
She noted that the local government’s contribution is part of more than $12 million raised through mostly local donations.
“People across our community have come together to help restore lives, reunite families, and strengthen our community as a whole,” Miller said. “The county’s investment is another powerful example of that shared commitment, showing what’s possible when our community rallies around hope and second chances.”
Construction on the West Paducah campus began earlier this year. The administration building is expected to open in December, with dining halls and dormitories scheduled for completion in March 2026.
Donations to support the project can be made online at Donate to or Volunteer for Lifeline — Lifeline Recovery Center or mailed to Lifeline Recovery Center, P.O. Box, Paducah, KY 42002.
