Multi-Agency Resource Center to assist Williamson County storm victims

MARION, Ill., (KBSI) — The Multi-Agency Resource Center (MARC) will open in Marion on Thursday to provide assistance to Williamson County residents affected by recent storms and a tornado.

The center, located at the Pavilion, 1602 Sioux Drive, will be open from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. and offer various services, including:

— Social services
— Senior support
— Mental health services
— Emergency supplies
— Hot meals

Trained American Red Cross caseworkers will be available to help residents create personal recovery plans and provide assistance with disaster-caused needs.

Representatives from government, nonprofit and disaster relief organizations will also be on hand to provide support.

Residents are encouraged to attend and bring identification and proof of residence to be eligible for assistance.
