Mural restored after vandalizing

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI)- The river wall in Cape Girardeau has been restored after vandalism destroyed the once beautiful mural.

Craig Thomas, the artist for the mural and Downtown Community Improvement District funded and volunteered some of their time to fix the mural.

Liz Hayes, the director for Old Town Cape says, “We’re just so thrilled to have somebody in the community that’s not only a very talented artist but is also very passionate about keeping our community vibrant and clean.”

The Cape Girardeau Police Department was looking for the suspects in March but so far, the investigation is still ongoing.
