CALLOWAY COUNTY, Ky. (KBSI) – A 75-year-old Murray woman died in a crash Wednesday, Aug. 3.

Calloway County E911 received a call of a single vehicle crash about 3:20 p.m. at the 2200 block of Murray Paris Road, according to the Calloway County Sheriff’s Office.

Calloway County Sheriff’s deputies found an overturned single vehicle off the roadway with the driver unresponsive. She was the only occupant.

Preliminary investigation has indicated that Diana Smith, 75, of Murray was southbound on Murray Paris Road in a gold Buick and for unknown reasons left the roadway on the right, crashed into the embankment which caused the vehicle to overturn and enter the ditch.

The Calloway County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on scene by the Calloway County coroner and Calloway County Fire-Rescue.
