Nationwide protests planned against Trump, authoritarianism happening in Cape Girardeau June 14

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — A National Day of Action and mass mobilization is planned for Saturday, June 14, to protest authoritarianism, President Donald Trump and his allies.

The “No Kings” movement, which emphasizes nonviolent action, aims to push back against what organizers describe as attacks on free speech, detention of individuals for their political views and defiance of the courts.

Protests are expected nationwide, with organizers stressing that the events are not focused on Trump himself, but rather on building a movement against authoritarianism.
