NWS confirms EF-0 tornado in Perry County, MO

PERRY COUNTY, Mo. (KBSI) – The National Weather Service in Paducah confirms an EF-0 tornado touched down southwest of Brewer on April 30.

It happened at 5:02 p.m. The tornado path was .1 miles and 50 yards wide, according to the National Weather Service in Paducah.

Straight line wind damage was about 0.4 miles wide and included many large tree branches and trees down.

A roof was blown off a barn.

Uprooted trees oriented to the southeast, along with lofted tin from a nearby damaged machine shed and a large two-by-four impaled into the ground on the east side of County Road 806, points to evidence of the brief tornado.

The tornado also destroyed a 30×50 machine shed along with other tree damage in the vicinity. The home next to this machine shed had damage to its gutters and soffit area. There were also signs of projectiles in the siding. Power lines across the street from the house were down.
