One person is dead after being struck by a vehicle

POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. (KBSI) – One female is dead after a crash in Poplar Bluff.

According to traffic crash reports a pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle on Tuesday October 29, 2024.

The report states the incident happened around 6:00 am on Highway B West of highway AA.

A vehicle ran off the left side of the roadway and struck Topanga Thompson age 27 of Poplar Bluff.

Thompson was pronounced dead on the scene.

The driver of the vehicle suffered moderate injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital.
