Paducah Fire Department’s Technical Rescue Team deploys to Eastern Kentucky for tornado relief efforts
PADUCAH, Ky., (KBSI) – In response to the devastating tornado outbreak that ravaged eastern Kentucky overnight, the Paducah Fire Department has dispatched its Technical Rescue Team to London, Kentucky.
The team’s mission is to support ongoing search and rescue operations, assisting local authorities in locating and extricating individuals trapped in collapsed structures.
The Technical Rescue Team, comprising highly trained firefighters, was mobilized early Saturday morning following a request for mutual aid from state emergency management officials.
Equipped with specialized tools and equipment, they are trained to handle complex rescue scenarios, including structural collapses and confined space rescues.
